5 weeks on T and just got my levels checked. They are above cis male levels, >1200 ng/dl. I'm also on a starting dose of t-cream (2%, 2g daily). Concerned about whether my high levels of T may aromatise to estrogen? I don't have a normal menstrual cycle due to the contraceptive Implanon, which causes periods of months of spotting. I know the androgel instructions say to apply it "at the same time" each morning, but how exact does this need to be?

Yesterday I was ~4 hours late applying my gel (overslept), and today I started spotting for the first time since I started taking androgel... coincidence or a lesson to be more prompt with applying it?

I've been taking T for three years now (50mg/wk for 1.5 yrs and 30mg/wk for the past year and half) via injections.

My doctor recently suggested I switch to Androgel 1% 2.5mg daily if I wanted to avoid giving myself weekly shots.

I read somewhere, possibly in this community, that some folks using testosterone cream or gel apply it twice daily (morning/night) in split doses. I'm curious as to whether there are any benefits to this method and if anyone can attest to it.

Quick question related to androgel and menstruation: is it ok to start using the gel while I'm on my period or should I wait for it to end before starting? I didn't think to ask the pharmacist while I was there and they're closed now.
